The Gin Jamboree is coming soon to Stockport’s Town Hall. It is an event which showcases over 100 varieties of gin from around the country and beyond. It takes place on Friday 21st April, between the hours of 18.30pm and 11.00pm. Interest has been so strong that they have already announced two further event dates, later in the year, in September.
Throughout March 2017 the Great British Spring Clean will be in place. It is an idea, created by Melissa Murdoch in 2015, which encourages local residents to get out on to the streets and clean up their local area. The timing couldn’t be more perfect in Stockport, with our image currently in transition due to all of the on going investment. It really is a great chance to get out and get proud of the area you live in.
It’s Stockport’s Foodie Friday Festival this week, on February 24th. If you haven’t been before then I suggest you get yourself down there. It is a monthly event based in and around the Market Hall area of Stockport Old Town, where local restaurants, cafe’s and bars come together to put on a wide variety of food and drink, whilst entertainment is provided by local bands and musicians. It’s a great evening out for all the family.

Stockport’s Redrock complex has absolutely flown up over the last few months and is really starting to take shape. The development, which includes a ten screen cinema, a multi-storey car park, and several bars and restaurants, is set to open it’s doors at the back end of this year. It will provide a great social option for the town centre, as well as creating several job opportunities.
