Stockport town centre has changed so much recently but this potential addition could be a real game changer. New striking CGIs give a glimpse into the town’s future. They show how Stockport’s planned ‘Metrolink-ready’ transport interchange – and a huge new block of flats – will look.
The council has been pushing for the tram network to be extended into the heart of the town for years. That hasn’t been confirmed, but the town hall and transport bosses are hopeful it will eventually happen.
I have found a FABULOUS investment for you in Box Apartments, in the centre of Stockport. The building is centrally located and is close to the Stockport Train Station so it is perfect for people looking to rent and perhaps commute into Manchester City Centre. The property is on the fourth floor of this small block of flats and has a modern open plan, kitchen and living area complete with a fridge and washing machine. There is a good sized double bedroom with modern wall paper and a bathroom with a three piece bathroom suite, including a shower over bath. The apartment also has one allocated parking space.
This property is on the market with O’Connor Bowden for £79,950 and would rent out for £575pcm. This would give you an incredible yield of 8.6%!! AMAZING! For any questions about this property, its location or the surrounding area, or if you are looking for an investment opportunity and would like some assistance please call me on 0161 474 8668.
Saturday 9th June is going to be a totally packed fun Jurassic adventure as Dinosaur Takeover Day hits Stockport.
Stockport is set to go totally Jurassic as a herd of prehistoric reptiles gets ready to take giant steps into the centre town for Dinosaur Takeover Day on 9th June.
For 160 million years, dinosaurs ruled the Earth and now they are back ready to strut their huge stubby toes around Redrock & Prince’s Street, Merseyway & Mersey Square and St Peter’s ‘Jurassic’ Square.
Over at Redrock, The Light cinema are giving dinosaur themed tote bags away throughout the day – 10 bags every hour from 10am!
Packed full of fun and entertainment for all the family, Dinosaur Takeover Day is completely free for everyone and includes a Dinosaur Park compete with Jurassic jeep, walkabouts from Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor and Dino babies. Some people rattle around in their home like two beans in a can whilst others are packed in like sardines in a tin. There is a formula, created by the Office for National Statistics which gives the occupancy rating of each home. This number shows whether a property has the ‘right’ number of rooms given the number of people living there. This shows the picture in our local housing market.
The last few years have been something of a rollercoaster ride for property markets up and down the country and our area is no different. Here we show how prices of different house types have changed relative to one another over time.

I have another great investment for you this week, and this one is quite unusual as it comes complete with all the furniture, so you literally just need a tenant to move straight in! The property is on Lowfield Road in Shaw Heath, Stockport which has great access to lots of local schools, is within walking distance to Edgeley Town Centre and to Stockport Train Station. The property is located on the top two floors of a terrace house and comprises of two double bedrooms on the first floor along with a contemporary bathroom, then on the second floor, the loft area has been converted into an open plan kitchen living area. The property is in a very good condition and would most definitely appeal to tenants looking to rent in the area. In some parts of the country, the split between a house and flat sales is very extreme while elsewhere there is more of a balance. It primarily comes down to the nature of the area and how densely populated it is. Rural, semi-rural and suburban areas are dominated by houses whereas urban districts are awash with flats. The chart shows the picture in our area.
