Robinsons Brewery have announced plans for a complete refurbishment of The Bulls Head, the oldest pub in the historic Stockport Marketplace.

Dating back to 1731, this Grade 2 listed establishment’s highly anticipated revamp is set to cost £400,000 and is hoped to be completed in time for the brewery’s 182nd birthday in September 2020. Closed since 2011, the re-opening of the pub is yet another success story following a wave of new businesses in the area since the announcement of the billion pound investment scheme in 2017. Once open, it will mean that residents and visitors will be spoiled for choice with not one but TWO Robinsons pubs to choose from, as The Bakers Vaults is just a stones throw away.

The Marketplace alone has seen many exciting new ventures since the investment scheme was rolled out and will join the likes of independent bars and eateries such as The Produce Hall and Project 53, plus the popular event Foodie Friday, which is on the last Friday of each month.

We know we’re excited, we hope you are too!
